Thanks for this - especially the tip for being “that guy”. I’ve always worked at companies that have their own playbooks and processes for these sort of things for me to follow so having this info is very helpful for things I build on my own. Thanks for the link to Thoughtworks too.

Being "that guy" was probably the hardest for me - I want everyone to like me so it was an adjustment to have to justify my position in the room because folks said I "killed the vibe" and was "too negative." The perception of me changed after I started to get a little bit of exec leadership attention for the stuff I was bringing up.

There are still some folks who eyeroll when I say, "I have an uncomfortable question to ask," but its fewer than it was before :-)
